New to the group - what does MS I.33 stand for (or the other acronyms for that matter)?
Thanks,
Ryan

The full acronym is R.A. M.S. I.33.

Which stands for: Royal Armories, Manuscript I.33 (I.33 being the catalogue ID of the manuscript, housed at the Royal Armories Museum in Leeds).

This particular manuscript contains a fighting treatise written by Germanic monks of the 13th century, describing their art of self defense with the sword and buckler.

We practice this form of self defense every Sunday at 4 at the location given in the Event Description, if you're interested in learning ;)

And welcome to our meetup!

Awesome! Thanks for the welcome. All of this really interests me a lot. What would be the best entry point for the meetup? M I.33 or is there some other event that works better as an introduction?

Our practices are pretty informal and a great place to meet all of us.

We're more formal at big events and it would be difficult to jump in there, so I'd recommend coming out to any one of our Sunday meetups.

Hope to see you soon!
