This will be our second Feat of Arms Tourney (the first being our Silver Tourney).

The way it will work is that two people will enter the list. They will fight until one person has scored three hits (reseting after each hit). Once one person has scored three hits, the opponent leaves the list and goes to the back of the line. The next person in line enters the list with the winner of the previous round. No one person shall hold the list for more than three rounds. Each round a combatant fights will be awarded marks for execution of technique and form. Whomever has the most marks at the end of each round, will have 'won' that round. The more times you fight, the more opportunities you have to score marks.

The fighting will go on until we are thoroughly exhausted (the Silver Tourney lasted almost 2 hours).

In accordance with ECS combat rules, there will be no strikes for the hands or the knees and below. Giocco Stretto will be limited to open hand pushes and pommel strikes. There will be no: punches, kicks, grabs or throws.

You MUST wear all of the protective armor, including but not limited to: gorget (neck protection), coif (back of the head protection), HEAVY gloves, an athletic cup, knee pads, elbow pads, gambeson (or equivalent body padding) and have all skin covered. If you do not own this equipment, please arrange to borrow gear between each round.

Rob Hicks will be returning with more fun dances for us to learn. This is also the day our TV shot is being done.
I told Rob that he should come early. We will be dividing practice based on what the TV people want to see and how long they will be there.
Tentatively free play will be held from 4-6 and dance will be from 6-8p.

Garb is optional!!! I know some of you want to wear garb for the TV people and some of you do not. This is fine. Please come in whatever is more comfortable for you.
